OCC’s automatic exercise of expiring options $0.01 or more in the money at the close, unless the holder instructs otherwise (current OCC threshold); brokers may apply their own policies.
Example
Long 2 calls, stock a penny over the strike at the close → you own 200 shares Monday unless you filed a do-not-exercise.
